Even without the sugar high our first Halloween was lots of fun. The neighborhood started the night with a finger food fest where Daileyanne was passed around and generally fawned over. Last night I had taken a onesie and made her into "Mummy loves Me". Eventually, I did swap her outfit out for her Halloween pants, pumpkin hat and ghoulishly green socks.... I was slightly concerned that the aroma of Sharpie Ink was still pretty vibrant. (She couldn't exactly wear her "I elect to be drug free" sticker if Momma has her huffing permanent marker at 6 weeks!)
There was a pretty steady stream of Trick Or Treaters so we sat on the porch together handing out candy and PlayDough. Dailey was cooed at by lots of mommies and little girls. I started claiming she was a fake zombie baby and would jump up at them when they least expected it. Peter would claim she should have been Dracula, her favorite position right now is to be half flung over his shoulder. Once he's feeling settled in she'll pull a "Vampire Baby" and latch onto his neck. Having a baby for holidays is fun!
The mummy costume is great! Dailey is always at the height of fashion!
