One Month down

Dear Dailey~
Today you are one month old. Here are a list of some things that are new... You've learned how to hold your head up with minimal wobble. You can follow Mom with your eyes as long as she moves slowly. Baths are in the big tub with Mom. You love to float and like to use her belly to push off like a little frog. Today at Breastfeeding Brunch you weighed in at 9 pounds 2 ounces. You've just discovered the bug that hangs from your car seat. When you are hungry you suck on the back of your hand. Daddy has given you your first and second bottle. The baby sling is your favorite cacoon and Daddy wears you everywhere in it. Every night you two fall asleep watching West Wing. We co-sleep so you're nearby and neither of us can bare to hear you wimper in your bassinet. You wake up at midnight, 2:30, 4:30, 7 (when Daddy is noisy getting ready for work) and 9:30. It takes you 30 minutes to wake up and you make the BEST faces while you drift in and out. You have moved on from little mews to squawking- you seem to like the sound of your own voice. The car knocks you out, but then it does take at least 45 minutes to get anywhere! Dad has almost run out people to show you off too, the dry cleaning ladies think you are gorgeous by the way. Uncle Peter is great at calming you down, he knows more songs then anyone. You have almost found your fingers. Sometimes when sleeping you giggle at yourself and give a half smile- We think you're really just tooting. When changing your diaper we turn on your mobile and you no longer cry. Every couple of changes when the air hits you, you pee all over the changing table. You still have blue eyes and your hair show signs of being curly. Mom chews your fingernails off and it creeps Dad out. You still wear Newborn sized diapers. Some of the hats that Mimi knit not only no longer fit but look super small now. Socks won't stay on your feet for all the elastic available. When Dad snores too loud you startle and fling your hands above your head. Mommy love you tons and tons and tons... she can't even remember a time when you weren't around!
