Dear Dailey~
A few days ago (sorry for the delay but we were on vacation) you turned three months old. I don't think I'll ever review a month were I don't want to type "You amaze me" because every day you grow you amaze me more and more! In the last 30 some days you have- Figured out how to drive your arms and feet, gone on your first plane ride and vacation, dipped your feet in the Pacific Ocean, gone swimming in a big pool, learned to almost stand with just the support of Daddy's fingers, had your first Thanksgiving, had your first taste of food (pineapple icecream- Mommy caved in to Dad's persistance)and have grown in leaps and bounds.
Some of my favorite memories are-
While in Hawaii I heard soft sucking noises coming from your car seat. When I peeked you had the hem of your blanket in your mouth and were sucking on it. You gave me the BIGGEST gummy grin and stuck it right back in your mouth please as punch with yourself. Aunt Jen sent you this blankie and I love that this memory is tied to it. :)
You were given a teddy bear wearing a hula skirt as a Welcome to Hawaii present from our friends Phillip and Rebecca. The plastic grass on the skirt allows you to wind your fingers into it and pick up the bear. Right away you were wailing Hula Bear around and bringing her up to your mouth for a little exploration. You hadn't shown any interest in interacting with anything before, no real reaching or holding, and suddenly you are not only holding but holding and guideing and nibbling! Quite a leap little lady!
A few weeks ago when we were seeing Uncle Peter off we stayed in Boise with Mimi and Gina Great. You were miserable from being the the car so we rushed you in to the room and I fed you. But maaaaybe I didn't give you enough time to calm down! You threw up on me and I was shocked that it made it 12 inches. Then over Mimi's shoulder as she went for a towel you vomited again, no kidding it went four feet this time! It still makes me laugh to recall the trail of curdled milk from the hotel wall to your shocked face! As a new mom I hadn't realized your tiny body had the force in it to get that far.
Laughing, I'll never stop loving hearing you laugh. May it always be as pure as it has been this month, Darling.
I love you little girl and will never ever stop! ~ Momma
